Shakespeare in the Squares Announces All’s Well That Ends Well as 2024 production

We are delighted to announce that Shakespeare in the Squares will be celebrating their seventh anniversary this summer with a new production of All’s Well That Ends Well with a fairytale twist.

Immerse yourself in the play’s enchanting woodland scenes, rags to riches narrative and its epic journey. The production leans in to its fairytale aesthetic and draws on the European traditions of Grimm and Anderson, with the all-important musical element, including much loved songs to a Gypsy-Swing tempo.

Following year’s success, another week has been added to the tour schedule. The 2024 tour will run from 5th June to the 12th July. A full list of dates and venues will be announced soon. Tickets will be available later this month.

A note from Director Sioned Jones…

Helena loves Bertram. Bertram doesn’t want to know. He’s off to the court where life is exciting, off to the wars to win fame and honour. How can Helena possibly win his heart when he’s the rich, handsome Count Rossillon and she’s merely an orphan in his house?

But Helena believes:
“Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie,
Which we ascribe to heaven: the fated sky
Gives us free scope: only doth backward pull
Our slow designs when we ourselves are dull.”

She’s not afraid to work hard for what she wants and take a few risks along the way.  And what a journey it transpires to be!

Come and join Helena this summer as she sets off on her exciting fairytale adventure, march in the Florentine parade, sing and dance to the strains of popular Gypsy Swing tunes, in France, in Italy, in squares and gardens all round London to help Helena win the love of her heart.

Who knows how she will fare?

Bring your picnic, wine, sunglasses, pac-a-mac and participatory spirit and let’s make a fairytale wish: All’s Well That Ends Well!
